They all had more money than I did growin up (one is a movie stars lil brother). I was the trailer kid. But you really cant help who you grow up with yaknow?

i was like smokin dope when they all did steroids and HGH. I was jockish too, i played all sorts of sports, but i wasnt a meat head.

Oout of this group, one specifically, Logan, was supposed to be my best friend growin up.

there is your set up, and now the story.

3 years ago they all got into bizops. Logan bought into a company and they convinced me that i would be an awesome sales man, and could potentially make 20k-50k every 2 months.
"Dude, I know you will be perfect for this, you only make 32k a year now, what do you have to loose"

They told me over and over, i had nothing to worry about.
i had a bad feeling about it, so i didnt quit my job at the time. rather i told them a family member had passed and took a 1 week hiatus.

So i show up, i was handed a 2 page script that looked like it was written by an 8th grader, and told to sell vending machines.

needless to say, 2 days later i wasnt the best sales man ever, and was told to go because it wont work out.

It was really stupid. I received no training, but was told I had the job, then not so much.

So i went back to the Job with the moving company, which is where i still happen to work today.

PART2. i hate my birthday. My grandma died on my birthday, a friend i grew up with hung himself on my birthday, pets have died, women have left me etc. lets just say i dont look forward to it.

Everyone i grew up with knows this. summer of 2007 Logan and the rest of my group took me out to breakfast for my Bday.

it was some wack ass resturant where all the waiters dress up like trannies and **** with you.

the reason my "FRIENDS" took me to breakfast on my birthday was to get pics of Bob with these freaks and post it all over the net.

its not that big of a deal, kinda funny actually....

but the fact that the only thing my "friends" could come up with for my birthday was to humiliate me, flipped me out.

I havent spoken with any of them since then. its been 2 years.

Well now heres the gig. They now have a multi million dollar company.

Jessica Beil's little brother is the kid i grew up with and alluded to earlier. He was the customer service manager for this company. Well justin timberlake (who is fawking jessica beil) offerd her lil bro a job.

So he up and left my "friends" company.

apparently this has really left them in a lurch.

Logan called me yesterday and offered me 40k salary, $2500 signing bonus, full benefits, and a 2 year contract to come be their Customer Service Manager.

But i do not trust him. or any of them for that matter. i am so expendable to these people that no matter what they say, i know id always be the first to go.

But i have to take it or leave it in the next few days basically. and im flipping out.

I dont want to miss out on an oppertunity that ccould better my life because im acting like an emotional fag.

I also dont want to loose everything i have because i put faith in people i feel cannot be trusted.

any of you like a lawyer or somethin? im thinkin of askin for a non refundable 20k retainer....

This was call for a celebration and so we scheduled a party. It was the day before and I was frantically cleaning, as I am always doing the day before a get together. I was home with the dogs, SIX dogs that day.

There was King, our sweet old black lab, Velvet, our precious pit mix, and I was baby sitting Ella, Kimmie's first baby - Boston Terrier, Lily, Rick and Bruce's little girl - Boston Terrier, and also Teddy and Samantha, two fluffy little white poodles who's mommies were out of town.

I was cleaning the tanks and all of the dogs had found their respective places to nap. I had drained the large tank in the dining room, which at the time had one turtle (Pequad) and several fish, down to about 5 inches of water. I went into the bathroom to start getting water ready to refill the tank when out of nowhere the dogs went CRAZY! They had been sleeping but all of a sudden they were all barking like maniacs - totally ape shit!

My guess was that someone knocked on the door and so I went to check. No one was there. The dogs were still frantic but stopped at the threshold of the living room. I thought that perhaps John, our upstairs neighbor, had let himself into the kitchen to borrow something so I called to the back of the apartment, "Hello?" but no one was there.

Now I was only wearing a bra on top, why get a shirt soaked with water? And this was what I like to call a "laundry bra," as in the only one left when the laundry has piled up. It was a very old bra, one that should have been tossed at least two relationships back. This bra provided no support, but rather simply covered a small part of my boobs.

I looked at the dogs and told them to "Shut it!" But they would not calm down. I looked back to the dining room and then saw the source of their frenzy. The largest fish in the tank, a huge and beautiful tin foil barb, had jumped over three feet out of the shallow water, cleared the top of the tank and landed on the ground. With every flop the dogs grew more insane!

Oh, they could bark at the struggling fish, but only from a room away. This was why they would not leave the living room. They were actually afraid of it. Now, you know that you have some spoiled ass urban pampered pussy wimpy dogs when they will not go to actually to investigate a live fish on the ground. Real dogs, dogs that have not been totally retarded by a life of ease, would at least sniff the fish and possibly taste it. But not these dogs. They were aggressively terrified.

But my concern was not for the chicken shit dogs, it was for the choking fish and so I went to put it back in the water. Tinfoil Barbs are named that for a reason. They have a very pointy sharp barb on the top of their dorsal fin that can puncture and hurt. I grabbed a towel and approached the fish with great caution. The dogs were almost apoplectic by this point, barking and throwing themselves about the living room like they were being killed.

I picked up the fish and it jumped out of my hands, landing on my almost bare boobs which of course startled me and I jumped back. I believe at this point at least two of the dogs fainted. The rest were howling and almost exploding with anxiety. They though that the fish was now attacking me. If it killed me, surely they would be NEXT. This caused them to start crying AND barking while throwing themselves around the living room like popping popcorn.

"Shut the fuck up!" I yelled but they were inconsolable.

I picked the fish back up and placed it back in the tank. I was sure that it would be swimming funny, torn up from its escape attempt and near death but aside from a couple of missing scales it was fine. This was remarkable considering what it had gone through.

As soon as the fish was back in the tank the dogs resumed their nap positions, as if nothing had happened, and quickly fell back asleep.

Three things struck me that day; 1. The dogs saved the fish's life. They were trying to tell me that the fish was on the floor, just like Lassie tried to tell people that Billie had fallen down the well. Had they not gone crazy, I would not have come out to investigate the problem. Had I not come out when I did, the fish would not have survived his Herculean leap.

2. The fish's adventure was a metaphor for the daunting task that we were getting ready to celebrate. Chandra, who had never ran before in her life, trained and then completed a full marathon. The effort that it took for this fish to leap 3 feet, with only a few inches of water to gain momentum in, and then SURVIVE a six foot fall was comparable in scale to Chandra's daunting accomplishment. Both had succeeded at the incredible.

And 3. Our dogs are pussies.
