It's almost here... I love this weather, we had a hell of a storm earlier this evening.. no wind though, usually the monsoons bring winds over 40-50 mph..

here is a pict from my FIL's apartment... dumped about 1" of rain in 30 min, then dissipated and came back later in the evening, typical.

Actually Bill, the fire looked more contained last night, problem is these storms have massive lightening.. plus dry plants.... more fire. We have "hotshots" all over the state this time of year that travel to the fire locations to keep them under "control"

Yeah I kind of liked the hurricanes when we lived in VA. Fortunately we were north enough that they were pretty much petered out by the time they got to us. I'd hate to see one full force.

LOL I do have a basement,, no red shoes though.. we don't get tornados, the mountains prevent that, we get dust devils though.. lol but the wind can be fierce, the lightening is amazing. I will set up my tripod when I can and see what I can capture.

This is the first year that I have a good camera, its gonna be FUN.. he he (gotta get some excitement around here)
