it's full lighting, but I inadvertently had the exposure correction set to -2.

i have been accepted into the chronic pain rehabilitation program as an outpatient. it lasts 3-4 weeks, depending upon the group. 7:30am to 5:00pm mon-fri. john is required to attend on fridays from 11-5.

the doc i saw today will be my doc for the program; he will monitor my meds, which will be changing rather dramatically i think. i have to stop taking all opiates, which they help you do, if necessary. i don't think i take enough to need to be weaned, but what do i know? he is a neurologist and a psychiatrist. and a very nice guy. i had to answer questions about my childhood and how my family was, to how my day to day life is today. it was hard but interesting.

there will be physical and occupational therapy, aquatic therapy, yoga, biofeedback, pyschotherapy (both group & individual), and i'm forgetting a whole buncha schtuffs.

i think i'm up for it. i'm pretty competitive so i'm banking on that being a help. not sure exactly when i start, but it will be on a monday once insurance things get straightened around.

That sounds like a very well-rounded plan. I'll think good thoughts for you along the way.

we have an aquatics center that offers all sorts of classes for people with arthritis and various pain problems, so that is a cinch. it's about 3 miles from our house.

i know that about opiates. the doc was careful to explain that they work with you to wean you off of them, and onto non-addictive things that are not narcotic in nature. i am going to talk with my current doc and have her confer with him on how to get started with that now. she's the one who referred me to the program in the first place, so maybe she can get me a head start on that aspect.

thanks for the great thoughts.

the doc was careful to explain it's next to impossible to discern how much the mind is affecting the pain or vice-versa. he said that small ignored injuries turn into chronic conditions over the years. i had to answer questions about my activities as a child/teen/young adult, and any accidents or incidents i remember.

Mark is that the stuff (IO liquid fish shit-food) that comes in little individual serving packets? My LFS that had the Super Bowl sale gave me a package of that "revolutionary food gel.

Its snowing.
Supposed to snow for a total of 30-36 hours with accumulations up to 14 inches.
Its not as much as Kathy got last weekend but it is a good amount.
I am looking forward to it. Let it SNOW!
