Doesn't it though?! I'd put a blue spot in there. No predators, right Mark? You'd love it! They are not difficult to care for. They eat meaty things. I'd feed a mixture of mysis, krill, finely chopped squid, chopped mussel. With only the angel in there the blue spot would have a field day!

The best part is they watch you just as much as you watch them. It's GREAT.

I did water changes on both tanks today. Oreo is looking almost 100% better, doesn't seem to have any permanent damage to the eye. Tango (the Blue Eyed Tang) is eating mush like a fiend now - that reminds me, I need to get a better picture of him tomorrow.

Everything is looking pretty happy except the trumpet, I seem to be losing a few heads, but the other ones are perking up. I think it was because my alk was low after the move, everything is back in order now.

I noticed today that the duncan now has 8 new heads coming out from the original three for a total of 11. They are all budding from right below the old heads...

I can see the details on the tentacles, even. Did you use a tripod, or do you have incredibly steady hands?

Thanks everyone! Sometimes I get a lucky shot, I take tons and throw most of them out.

No tripod for that, my hands aren't too steady either.

These were my settings:
75mm focal length
1/60 shutter speed
f/5.6
ISO 100

If I'm not using a tripod, I always try to keep the shutter speed close to or higher than the focal length.


On another note, my longspine urchin is acting strange today. It is hiding in a corner and I can see on the bottom side it is sticking itself out really far - hard to describe any better. I thought it might be stuck between some corals, so I moved one and it sucked back in and found another corner to get in and is doing the same thing again. It dropped a couple spines so I'm a bit worried. Everything else looks just fine.

Huh. Could it maybe be getting ready to spawn? I've not seen anything bulge out the bottom of mine ever. Hope it's okay.
