I got a brand spakin' new 75 gal for Christmas. With an awesome stand (thanks Santa ). I forgot my digital camera, but here are some picts from my Crackberry.

All Glass, currently 2 koralia 2's and whimpy 150 gph PH for now. Sand is sitting here, LR (67lbs) on the way, I will add my 16lb of already cured rock from my 12.5 gal to it after tank is cycled.



And we had to use 60 1 gal jugs of distilled water (no RO/DI and no LFS within 3 hours)... better than tap!!

Thanks, I am excited... But..I just called LA where I got my LR from (ordered and paid for yesterday) and "because of the holidays, the LR will not be shipped until NEXT Tuesday!!!" Soooo I guess I get to watch my perfect sg SW swirl around in my nice big empty tank.. Or I could move my 2 fish in there for a while... JK

I was thinking about putting 30lbs of the sand in the bottom before the LR,,, what do you think?? Or put the LR on the BB first then the sand?

I would say put the rock in first, seems to be that it prevents sifting under the rocks and rocks don't undergo tumbles so much.

OR... get some eggcrate while you're waitin'. Cut it to fit the bottom, then put the rock on top of that, then a nice sandbed. REALLY prevents shifting.

That is what I was thinking too, eggcrate. Does the eggcrate get in the way of the tunnelers, like the gobies, and sifting creatures??
